We Make Learning Fun

We are teachers who are passionate about education. We believe that every child can succeed. With the right tools, a safe and inviting learning environment along with proper guidance, every child can reach their potential. As classroom teachers, we will educate your child the way they deserve to be educated. What sets us apart is that we are fully credentialed teachers who work day in and day out in an actual classroom. We have the key to unlocking your child's success.

We are here to equip your child with the foundational skills and the knowledge needed to navigate school in the 21st century to ensure success. Common Core can be scary and we are here to assure you that it isn't. Like the great Albert Einstein once said "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." We help your child see school through a different lens.

At My Learning Place, we believe in the whole child. We firmly believe that education is the key to success in life, and teachers make an impact in the lives of their students. We are nurturers and educators that are truly committed to the success of our students.

Through the years, numerous parents have asked us to provide after school intervention and enrichment.  We have always declined. After much consideration, research and pleading from parents, we decided to move forward and create My Learning Place. My Learning Place is a product of our love for education and we are here to serve the needs of the community.  Most, if not all local tutoring centers that serve our children just babysit. Homework help is offered, but nothing more. We've personally seen it and we've talked with parents and students about their concerns. Parents were unhappy and we were not able to give referrals to a place that we felt would meet the needs of the children.
Plain and simple, we are teachers. We are passionate about education and we love working with children.  We attend hours upon hours of training to help ensure that we are the best of the best. We are well versed in the California Common Core State Standards and we know what your child needs to learn in order to ensure success. With a strong foundation in the younger years, your child has a better chance of a brighter future. Let us help make a difference!

Summer Slide

There is something known as the "Summer Slide." Statistics show that if a child is not stimulated academically over the summer, they lose about two months of learning, if not more. Ultimately, we all need to do more to prevent the "Summer Slide" and help children maintain their academic edge.

We are here to help!

During the seven week program led by experienced teachers, we will introduce and teach what your child needs to learn for the new school year. Your child will develop the skills and confidence to make the incoming year a big success. In this program, students will become stronger readers and better students. They will make substantial gains in comprehension in both fiction, non-fiction and study more effectively. Our setup and schedule will be vary similar to what your child would do at school. Language Arts (reading, writing, foundational skills, grammar, comprehension, vocabulary) and Math will be taught.

2020 - 2021

Monday - Friday

8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Enrichment (for students meeting or exceeding grade level standards), intervention (for students working below grade level standards) and homework help will be offered.

Nothing hurts parents more than watching their children struggle academically and not knowing what to do about it. YOU can do something about it. WE are here to help your child find academic success. We offer expert 1 on 1 tutoring as well as group sessions.
